The University of North Florida was established in 1969 and it is a public university situated in Jacksonville, Florida. This university is located in the middle of a natural preserve in the largest land area or city in the United States. The University of North Florida accepts applications for MHA program during the summer (March 15) and fall (August 1) terms. The basic admission requirement is a a baccalaureate degree from a certified institution in the US. If you are in a foreign institution then its equivalent can work and your GPA score should be 3.0 or above in each work tried in the last 60 credit hours of your undergraduate study.
Some of the additional admission requirements for one to join UNF include:
- A 2 to 3 page personal statement that describes your career objective, reasons why you want to take MHA program and any other relevant information.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Resume that includes work experience, education and memberships or honors in profession, school and service institutes.
- Another requirement is an official Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) with a total score of 500 (22 quantitative and 20 verbal). Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores will be accepted in place of GMAT. They must be submitted as part of the application process. If one has earned master’s degree previously from a regional or national accredited program then they shouldn’t submit GRE scores.
It is important for individuals applying for the MHA program to keep in mind that it is a very competitive program and those meeting the minimum requirement might be denied admission because of factors like academic discretion and program capacity.
