University of North Carolina is a collective-campus public university system. It is composed of all of 16 of North Carolina’s public universities. This includes the NC School of Science and Mathematics, which is the nation’s first public residential high school for gifted students. It is commonly known as The University Of North Carolina system or just the UNC system, the reason for this name is just differentiate it from the from the main campus in Chapel Hill. The university has a large enrolment of over 183,000 students. It was established in 1789 and it is one of the oldest public universities in the USA.

The admission process is every fare as no student is special, although it is a very completive process. For those wishing to gain admission they must have an undergraduate degree with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or even higher (4.0 grading scale). Also students must submit GRE and GMAT scores in the top 50th percentile. Students must take note that the scores must not be more than five years old. Students who have a doctoral degree from the US or Canada are exempted from GRE/GMAT. Students might be required to also have some work experience. The applicant is strongly advised to make preparations in microeconomics, accounting and statistics. Financial certificate is needed for international students.
